"Mistrust all enterprises
that require
new clothes."
E.M.Forster
Me, Mango, bathing in a Pyrenean mountain streamClothing is a strange concept. Especially the warped sense of "Smart" that accompanies it, based on what some rich Italian fashion designer may think best.. Men tying ropes around their necks, and women in starchy dresses.. Pronounced creases and no flecks.. Facial growth never allowed to develop.. I always thought, and still do, that this whole idea of "smart" is nothing short of bizarre at best.

Me, looking far too pail after the English Winter and all those nuts... about to take my first fresh water dip of the year - in the Cevennes, France, March 2002 Admittedly, I did try once.. I played around with the idea, 3 piece pinstripe suits, with the daily telegraph tucked neatly under one armpit.. and stuff like that.. for a year or so, but I soon got bored, I always felt really stupid, and what use was life if you weren't allowed to get your knees dirty in the grass?..

If God had wanted us to walk around naked, we would have been born naked
People can freely choose to look this so-called "smart" if they desire.. but this concept of smartliness holds no appeal for me.. Nowadays I'm in to minimal clothing.. Ideally I'd like to be able to rid myself of them altogether - to abandon them with complete non-attachment.. My hair can grow however it chooses. If my beard desires & decides to reach profoundly for my bellybutton, then let it be so.. - Hah!

I was in Malaysia once, sitting on a bus in the middle of nowhere in particular.. It was hot out there, but judging by the apparel of the locals, Somewhere in the wilderness, France one may have easily been deceived otherwise! Covered up neatly, thick denim jeans, and baseball caps.. Long sleeved shirts sticking to their backs with sweat.. How long has it been this way? Why are we all such prudes? I don't care how my body looks, I'll gladly bare it anywhere if it means eating some sun and doesn't result in ridicule or punishment..

I like to be barefoot always.. I like the feel of the mud between my toes. I don't like the feel of elastic clinging to my waist.. Nor the feel of my feet being imprisoned in sweaty shoes.. I don't want to live in a world where I can't be me..

Mango, Ready for another plunge in the icey-cold river Many of these "smart" people mistakenly equate "non smartness" with uncleanliness, dirtiness.. This need not be the case at all. In many ways I am obsessed with cleanliness, though I never use soaps, shampoos or toothpastes.. I believe profoundly that cleanliness is next to Godliness.. But not smartliness.. If only smart people were really smart, and could see their insides.. They are generally like heavily decorated houses that look sparkling and glamorous on the outsides, but the insides are rodent infested piles of discarded dirty old socks, covered in kitchen grease, dustballs and piles of forsaken washing up.. Ha!

And he (Job) said: "Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there: the Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be blessed."
--- Job 1:21
I'm waffling on again.. I do know that Naturism is much more than just about being naked in public, but the other parts are covered elsewhere in this website.

I see nudity as being an open integral part of Eden.. Unashamedly innocent..

Eat sunlight, live long, and prosper..
