A Fruitarian Guinea-Pig
- Fruit will heal and make us strong again..

Neopolitan and her father
"And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepith upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and so it was" - Genesis 1:30
Erika has this guineapig(January 2003)... - These things happen.

Several hours after being born, it's mother died, and the poor little thing was orphaned.

What to do? Guineapig milk is not exactly widely available in supermarkets, especially not in Norway.. And who'd ever consider milking them anyway?

Calf's milk would most certainly have been the death of the little fellow..

Well, Erika, a wise incarnation, well aware of the nutritional goodness trapped within fruit, decided to give her small friend fruit juices.. orange, and pineapple and the like, through a small syringe..

For the first 2 weeks she drank just juices, then slowly started nibbling on bits of lettuce..

Erika calls her Neapolitan, because of her coloring.

Not only did Neapolitan survive on this diet, but she grew twice as fast as normal, - she is almost bigger than her father and is not even a year old yet! -, and has always experienced excellent health.

So incredible that a baby guineapig could survive without any mother's milk at all!

She now eats a diet of guineapig pellets, supplemented with fruits and vegetables.
