Manifesting Shelter.
- Another Far North Experience...

H (Who wishes to remain anonymous and for it to be made 100% clear that we were nothing more than friends and any feeling the reader may get that this was otherwise is false.) had been in Australia for a year minus 3 days, and myself, I'd been there for 11 months.. We had originally, I believe, intended to join up with each other there, but, well, it's good to be open about these things.. It just wasn't meant to be..

H arrived in Cairns, but, harassed by the mosquitos, soon found herself swept down the coast, where she landed safely in Byron Bay..

Myself.. I arrived in Cairns a month later, and became an immediate fan of the tropics.. I moved around a bit, but soon found myself settled, camping on some land in the middle of an organic tropical fruit orchard. First on a river coming straight out of the unchartered wilds of wet hill land.

... Anyhow, time passed all to quickly, and H returned to Cairns to catch her plane back to her igloo in Norway..

We met up 3 days before her scheduled charter flight...

There we were.. 2 homeless vagabonds not many pennies to our name.. Stranded in the middle of the big metropolis of Cairns.. I'd hitched rides down to the coast to say brief hi's and goodbyes..

Autobiography of a Yogi Well.. What a wonderfully powerful twosome we were.. Both having recently read "Autobiography of a Yogi", and were both fully into the powers of manifestation, so nothing seemed beyond us..

I'd kidnapped a jackfruit from somewhere or another, and together, all 3 of us, we sat down for a feast on the Cairns esplanade..

"So... What we gonna do?", we wondered..

"We'll just stay here on the beach all night, and if need be, if it should turn cold, start to rain, or the sand flies should be ite and abite in football yobo swarms, then, not to worry, the Divine will provide us with adequate shelter.." - We agreed, and dropped it..

Man, that jackfruit was good.. I've only ever had them that good in Far North Queensland..

So where were we.. ? .. yes.. Sitting on the beach, shining and bathing in the warmth of each others presence..

This guy walks past a couple of times, and I can see he is looking at the giant jackfruit monstrosity seated firmly between us.. His eyes full of curiousity..

"Come and Join us" - we tell him.. "Plenty for everyone.. Have you ever tried Jackfruit before? You really should! Melt in your mouth bubblegum!"

He sat down next to us, and suspiciously dubiously hesitantly tried a couple of pieces..

"Where are you from?" he asked.. You know the kind of stuff.. He was curious to know where we were staying, and we told him the beach was as good a place as any..

After a while, he got up and continued on his walk..

Boy it was good.. I could really feel the energy rushing through me.. Invincibility.. Everything was just so "right".. Even H's trip back to her Igloo was part of the Divine plan..

Well.. a couple of hours later.. there we still sat.. And who should walk past again, but our new friend from earlier.. (I realize now, he was a nameless Divine manifestation, - claiming to be German I might add.. Hah! Who was he trying to kid!)..

"Well.." he began.. obviously leading up to something.. ..H and I smiled at each other aware of something rawsome about to happen..

"Well.. I'm staying in this hotel down the road, and I have an extra bed in the room.. If you would like, you can come and sleep there for the night.."

You'll not believe this, but it's perfectly perfectly true.. just as he said those last words, a cool wind appeared from nowhere, followed closely by sudden sharp raindrops, and a freshly opened packet of cheering sandflies.. (ok.. ok.. I concede.. I added the sand fly bit just for extra effect.. Not that any is really needed though)..

H and I looked at each other.. I swear we were both on the verge of tears (I know I was).. So beautiful it all was..

How could we refuse such a Divine manifestation?

We followed him back, and were duly smuggled up into his room, where we both managed to catch a few hours of feigned sleep.. I guess at about 3:30, we both were awake and restless, and decided to creep out before the hotel awoke, so as not to risk any trouble for our friend..

We said quiet goodbyes, and left the angel to sleep soundly before he'd be needed elsewhere..

On the streets of Cairns at 4 in the morning.. Everything was so so.. "light", we both laughed and felt unbreakable.. The streets were quiet.. But Woolworths was stirring.. They brought out their big bin for us, which we duly and dutifully raided..

Ok, admittedly probably not the best food, but free.. We got heaps of bananas, some mangoes too, and oranges.. And couldn't resist filling our bags with packets and packets of small cakey chocolate biscuity things one day past their sell by date..

The biscuits we shared out generously amongst the local early to rise aboriginals that were sitting out along the small wall down by the beach.. They were most impressed..

"The Divine Provides" .. we told everyone..

.. well - That was the first night.. want to know how we spent the 2nd night.. ? That's an entirely different story..
