Me in Thailand before the Tsunami Hello all.

I am back in Spain again. In a none too unfamiliar situation. Pretty much same as I was doing this time last year. The odd bit of gardening. Giving the occasional computer lesson. No social life. Endless games of afternoon chess with Dad. restricted internet due to low budget lifestyle. Thinking I have an appointment that I have forgotten. And waiting impatiently for something to happen. Or for me to notice that it is. Or for me to just go ahead and make it happen.

The message board has been down since mid December, but I am concidering ressurecting it shortly. Not that I will have much time to be on it, but it's nice to have one anyway.

Hugs to all,
Mango.

I continue with my quest to be a raw fooder, & as usual no problems at present as it is summer, plenty choice re fruit.

Currently growing my own sprouts, lots of varities, drinking tahini & almond milks.

Content with my lot, spend lots of time in Darwin & was last in Cairns, July 2004.

Elizabeth May Hi Mango,

I enjoyed reading your views on nationalism and the importance of recognizing that we are really citizens of the world. I am back in school at 42 and am studying History...mainly the History of Ideas..and how they influence the development of Culture, particularly Institutions of control.

If you have some time during your travels (which sound absolutely wonderful Big Grin)I would love to hear from you..I am hoping to make some fruitarian and metaphysically/spiritually minded friends...

Blessings to you....
Elizabeth

Hi Everyone,

I chose fruitarianism 20050325. It is great. Today I am 32 (19720422). My favourite fruits are orange, mango, durian, black sapote (chocolate pudding fruit), water melon, strawberries and peach. I am sure there are a lot of fruits I just forgot to mention, but those were the ones that popped up in my mind just now. Anyway, it changes all the time. I like to play the piano, read bhakti-books (eg BG SB), go out with my parents boat to some island and relax by the beach, and a lot more (the list is just too long). Be well !!!

It took me 14 years to come up with a definition for what I do eat and what I don't eat. First I kept on saying that I don't eat anything with eyes. But oysters don't have eyes. So I thought for a moment and didn't start saying I don't eat anything that has blood as that would get me into similar arguments. Then I decided that I don't eat anything that shits... but embryos don't shit. So what? A friend finally summed it up that I don't eat anything that has an anus. Weird for a gay!

FAITH
Walking over nothingness, blindfolded, believing in a bridge.
Alone.
Some friends are respectful. Others are realistic.
Nobody can feel it with you.
Try to rationalize and bridge fades.
It is not a hope. Hope is weak.
It becomes knowledge.
You cannot see the end of the way.
Only one step.
Security is a true illusion.
There are many ways.
Faith is a blessing of seeing a glimpse of your own.
