Myself and Amelia sitting in the English nontropical sunshine Hello again.

I'm staying with my sister and her family in Sheffield. The days are flying past and are gone before I notice them..

I have made a decision to stay in England until December. I umm'ed and ahh'ed a lot before deciding, but the deal is my sister's just had a baby, and has to go back to work part time in September (she's a teacher), so I get to be the lucky one who stays at home looking after baby Amelia.

As at this point, I am unsure where I will head in December, but it will surely be out of England and somewhere warmer.

Hugs to all,
Mango.

I respect your philosophies but I do disagree with you and the small allegory about the squirrel and the 7-11.  It should be assumed that the squirrel wouldn't be eaten, regardless of the "heart" of the person.  Convienience has shaped our culture and how we understand the food that we eat.  If the squirrel were packaged in a bag with a big golden M, the situation might change.  Rewind, however, a good century, and the person would have never thought twice.  There would be no 7-11 to distract the idea.  The squirrel would be the only assumed means of sustainance.  I do feel though that there is a gross overproduction and overdependence on meat.  I would be fruitarian were it not for costs and the fact that, as of now, there is no escape from the genetic alterations of fruit (on my budget).  The biggest disagreeance I have though is the "heart of gold" thing.  The only way I'd interpret that term would be by the monetary value in which the heart would be appraised.

I appreciate your work into making yourself and you ideas known. My journey to path of sustainable living has begun slowly, but last year things really started to happen. I'm reading, learning and changing for the better, little by little. I want to be a raw frutiarian too.  I too have travelled the world and now i am at university studying animal science, but i can't wait till i finish so i can keep travelling without interupption. I have my gripes about the evil human 'food' industry and also the horrid pet food industry. We are lucky that we realise the only way to live and eat properly, is by doing as nature intended, and so we have the responsibilty to help others. I have helped quite a few poeple come to this realisation too and i will never stop. Thanks for your website.
I hope one day we'll meet.

I admire you for the courage to follow your beliefs. Now, have you heard of Richard Maurice Bucke and his Cosmic Consciousness book? Well it is the most wonderful book I've ever read. He momentarily achieved a deep view of reality, which he calls Cosmic Consciousness(CC). And he thinks that is the new evolucionary step for humanity, and the cases of CC are growing (examples are Jesus, Budda, Mohamed, etc). This book changed my view of reality. Now I can see that the future is not technology, but higher levels of consciousness. Bucke thinks that a world populated by Cosmic conscious people will be as different from our world today, as our world today (self-conscious human beings) is different from the world in which we lived before we achieved self-consciousness(simple consciousness). What do you think about that?
Regards
Carlos Correa

Today was a day so full of disenchantment- I was looking for something... The purity driven actions of people such as Steve Gough provide me with lawless reassurance...I like to make artwork about his travels and draw portraits of him so that other people can gain knowledge of the Naked Rambler (and other like characters)... so in my quest for Steve Gogh I stumbled upon a Mango- and smiled...and read...and learned and smiled some more.  So thank you for the inspiration, and for the reassurance;)  Perhaps there will be some mango artwork someday, as long as there are pure outlaws (and i mean that in a very good way) I will find happiness in their tributes- so a pineapple to you Mango- and goodnite and gooday! Wink

Hi, I'm a vegan and I'm anti raw food / anti fruitarian, but I guess I do like Mango;-)

Plants don't have a central nervous system which is an ethical guideline for why we can use them. I disagree with any diet which depolitisizes veganism and unnecessarily restricts the vegan diet. It's probably dangerous for children, and every time a "vegan" child got very ill or even died, it turned out not vegan but -suffered- from parents who followed one of these esoteric diets. Since I doubt the nutritional adequacy of raw food type diets especially for children, including  fruitarianism, I consider it unvegan.

That said, I do like your vision about the world, though appreciating ones culture and supporting isn't anything to do with fascism but supporting diversity on a local (national if you will) scale. I also don't mind borders, as they are simply a necessary tool of organization,  I just mind that they are wrongly organized. Humans are still way too braindead to take control of such issues, so while we work to improve awareness I'll have my borders thank you very much. Well that's it basically.

I just want to say hello. And what you all try to do is AWSOME!

I can't tell you how much my life has change since becoming part of the family. I will never be the same again.

I owe this to my soon to be husband who brought me here to the Ocala national forest, and showed me what life really should be like. This year will be my first gathering. I can't wait.....However Red-Moon (my soon to be husband) may not get to see his work in progress... He was put in jail for something he didn't do. We wanted to get married at our first gathering together(my first ever)So every one keep us in your thought and prayers so he can come home to me and see the kind of life he instilled in me. Rainbows KICK ASS!!!!!

Bretharianism seems very interesting but unecessary in the long run

Maybe the development of the ideology of bretharianuism is just a product of the extremities of our world, i mean there is matter and antimatter right

overeathing and gluttony must have their polar opposites which would be brethatrianism and fasting

the nature of all things is toward homoestasis right? some equinox or perfect balance provided two extremes(i.e hot and cold)

gluttony can cause death and so can bretharianism, that is premature death

but where does one draw the balance point between the two extremes,

that is the ultimate delema

the theory of chaos comes into play when one chooses one of the extremities provided that is all seems to deteriorate at extremes

ultimately, idealy, nature should naturaly find the most efficient point between two extremes, but then how would we explain the reasons that we have strayed into the extremes from balance

Very complicated but anyway

later!

A book on Devine Faith?  That's a really nice thing....a wonderful concept to the conceiver.  I believe.  Whatsoever a man sows, that is what he shall reap.  According to your faith, so be it.  As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.  By your words, you are justified, and by your words, you are condemned.  That still small voice within, which is your own still small voice, is God Himself.  But remember the words above written.

Hi Fruit Nut!

I love your site and I think you have a great sense of humour. I am also a raw vegan and share mostly the same world view as yourself. However, I believe that we need to eat greens as well, and other veggies, as they have nutrients that are not found in fruit. Have you heard of green smoothies (see Victoria Boutenko's site)? They are delicious!

Btw, do you believe in using blenders and juicers, or is that unnatural? I myself am divided on this issue, but all in all, I believe them to be beneficial.

The other issue is to do with names. You may just not want to expose your name for privacy issues, and that is fine, but nevertheless do not underestimate the (spiritual) significance of a person's name, which is inextricably linked to their identity. THis is not to be taken lightly, and it is dangerous to change your name just for the sake of it.

I was interested to know, do you have a permanent home and a family? or do you just travel alone? How do you raise enough money to travel so much, and how do you maintain this high-tech site if you live a nomadic lifestyle in nature?

I appreciate a reply, even if succinct.
